Academy students took part in the Skills UP hackathon
The UN Development Program in Kazakhstan is holding the "National Knowledge Week - 2022", within the framework of which a competition is held in four cities of the country - the youth hackathon "Skills UP". The hackathon program includes an educational intensive and regional qualifying rounds in four cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The first regional hackathon was held in Aktau, the second in Turkestan, and the third was held in the Karaganda region.
Under the coordination of the Department of project management and commercialization, students of the Academy participated in the second hackathon. They passed the first round and gained access to an intensive educational course that teaches how to commercialize their ideas and implement start-up projects.
The team of students of the Academy, together with the commercialization manager – Malika Shertai, was invited to the second regional qualifying round in Turkestan on November 10th. During the second qualifying round, the jury and experts in the Start-up field evaluated all participants' projects and provided consulting assistance in working on projects. At the end of the event, three winning teams were determined.
